A New Work From Home Direction...

Hello!
It has been a while since I last posted. I decided to close down my personal website PersonalGrowthResources. It was costing too much to run and it was not bringing in what I had hoped money-wise. Therefore, you will not see it on my Links in this blog.
I have been busy researching a new way to make money from home. It all started when I ran across an Ad called Project Payday. Instead of jumping in and paying the $$$ to sign up, I instead did a google search and read a blog that came up on the natural search. It is called:
http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com (either click on Review Project PayDay on the right of his site- or visit his 2/1/07 post). If you have a chance read it... very interesting. He originally signed up for project payday and was advocating it. It turns out he heard (although he could not confirm if it was true or not) that it was originally someone elses idea and therefore he chose to give some resources for how to start working with Incentivized Freebie Websites.
The gist is this... you sign up for the forum... people offer you from $5-$50 dollars (usually I see $20-$25 dollars to sign up on a site for them (if they get a certain amount of referrals for a particular site- then they get a free gift- ex: IPod, computer, even cash). I have completed 2 trades and have made $52 dollars (minus $10.00)- netting $42.00 for about 3 hrs of work. When you sign up for the sites you have to complete credits - some are free- some cost a dollar - some cost more. Typically a site requests that you full fill 1 full credit to go "green"- once you have gone "green" (completed your credit fulfillment) you then email the trader that you have "gone green"- they then credit your paypal account the agreed upon amount. I have gotten paid each time within 24 hrs of "going green".
The only thing I would caution you about if you decide to try this = BE SURE TO READ ALL YOU CAN ON THEIR RULES ETC... Also, be ORGANIZED. Be diligent in documenting the sites you have signed up for and the offers you have signed up for as you can only do them once!
Here is another site that seems like it would be helpful:
http://www.z-best-trading-post.com/- appears he has been doing this for a while and is knowledgeable about the process!
Good luck to anyone else who tries it... again read up on it for yourself... I don't think this will make me rich- although - I am impressed with how easy the money has come in thus far!
Will keep you posted on how it continues to go!

Ways To Drive Traffic To Your Site- To Make Some Extra Money!

Well... I went ahead and contacted someone regarding an Ad I saw on CraigsList today. The Ad was of course, for a WORK FROM HOME opportunity. The woman who e-mailed me back was very patient with all of my questions. The cost was $10.00 to receive the "training" information which would allow me to learn how to make extra money from home in excess of $500.00 a day - just by responding to Ads. Through all my questions I found out that you had to post the Ads yourself and that it is a sort of "pyramid" scheme. The woman I spoke with was very up front about the program. I chose not to follow through with it.
During this time I found that I could post my own Ads on www.craigslist.com and www.backpage.com to drive people to my sites for FREE! Most of you probably already know this little tid-bit... but I didn't... so I thought I would share!
I ended up spending about 1 hour putting up Ads on both Craigslist and Backpage and so far today I have made about $4 dollars from Adsense - just by doing this! The ads expire every 7 days. It probably won't make me rich- but it will help with groceries!

More Later...

Back In The Game!

Well I was a bit discouraged these past few days as my last blog might show. I did receive a great website link from someone from the MyLot.com community (GO HERE- if interested in checking out MyLot). The website is called www.pcworkathome.net - it is not a flashy website and take some getting used to - but it apprears to have legitimate work at home opportunities that do not cost anything to join. I applied for a blogger position at families.com through this site. I haven't heard back yet though.
So while I was discouraged I started going through some of my vendors offerings. I found this site that has to do with self esteem, its importance, and ways to raise your self esteem and self worth. It is an ebook and offers a 90 day, no questions asked, 100% money back gaurantee! Might be a useful tool for those of us who are looking into self-development. If your interested in reading more on Increasing Your Self Esteem- GO HERE.
I am off to feed my sweet baby boy!

Desperation...

It has been almost 8 months since my son was born. I have spent those months searching desperately for a “stay at home” work opportunity. I have tried selling on eBay, starting up my own website for affiliate sales, blogging… and how can I forget signing up for the “paid survey site” and the “rebate processing site”. All of which gave the impression that hundreds of dollars could be made per day! If there are people out there who are making hundreds of dollars on these sites… WHERE ARE YOU? I have not heard your accomplishments on any of the forums etc- nor do I really believe you exist.
Am I that person? That naïve person who will falls for the, “banana in the tail pipe” (the movie with Eddie Murphy- ‘48 hours’). My husband strongly believes that I am that person.
But what is a new mother who wants to stay home with her new baby to do?

Can you sense my desperation?

P.S. I have taken the rebate processing link and the paid survey site links off of my blog and website since its premise it to yet again set up ads on Google and offer rebates to your own ads- this was not made clear in the advertisement! They also do not offer a refund and therefore I am out $39.00.

Response To Comment From Last Blog!

Hello! This is in response to a comment I rec'd from another blogger- you can see the full comment below- but to sum it up she asked how my efforts were going to find legit work from home opportunities... Here is my Response:
I am finding that it is very hard to find something that is legit as a way to work from home. Web Colleagues costs I think I was $49.99 - It is a ton of good resources - but takes some time to get up and running... and alittle patience too as there are a lot of steps to take to get your blog going, getting connected with adsense and getting your homepage on the search engines etc... I still haven't gone through all the steps yet... I have spent a total of about 2 hrs on MyLot and have made about .70 cents! So that will not be a main source of income- but its fun and why not get paid alittle bit for chatting ya know? and it gets my blog out there! I tried the Review Stream and am awaiting approvals for my reviews... They did accept one and paid $1.50... again not a main source of income- but it could help the more I do... they are very clear to be VERY specific in your reviews and give your opinion- thats what the people want to hear... I am going to put on my blog another site called Associated Content- its where you post short stories usually about 400 words minimum - and they will pay you for them... between $3-$20 dollars... something else to maybe look into? I am with you- I am desperately wanting to stay home with my son... We will find a way! Good luck to you!

Work From Home Mom Letting Herself Go...

I got the look last night from my Husband... That look that says "I can't believe you are still in your pajamas at 6:00 at night... when was the last time I saw you with your hair down? Did you shower today?"... Boy have things changed since we had the baby! I find it funny- sometimes he laughs too *grin*.
So I decided to do more work from home on that Web Colleagues program I told you I signed up for... STILL VERY IMPRESSED - It is proving to be a lot of detailed info- but it is walking me through every step I need to take with ease- I will continue to keep you posted on this and let you know when I start raking in the dough! Check out their site for more information for yourself - GO HERE.
I also check out a few sites on nutrition and beauty tips that were interesting... the 1001 beauty tips seems like a "risque" site at first glance but the meat of is seems pretty good- head to toe care for the woman who wants to stop 'letting herself go'-GO HERE- I also checked out a website called Super Foods- all natural foods for remedies etc- pretty interesting for those of us who are starting to eat better and shy away from preservatives- GO HERE.
Will write more later...

Have you tried selling on eBay?

Its funny- the more I think about it- the more I have done to bring in extra money since I have been on maternity leave. At one point I set up an eBay store and sold designer clothing at discount prices. It got to be a little time consuming as it was running at the end of my pregnancy- and at that time I didn't want to put much time into maintaining the site and doing auctions etc. A lot of people are successful at selling on eBay. If you are interested in starting to sell on eBay and want to read about some ways to learn about how to sell on eBay go here. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a PowerSeller on eBay- go here.
Hope you find this info helpful!

Attempts To Be A Stay At Home Mom!

Its Tuesday the 17th of April @ 12:57 p.m.- I am sitting in my study- still in my pajamas. My little 7 month old is playing in his Einstein Activity center. (Thank God for it!).
I have attempted two ways to earn money from home in my quest. One was through a data entry business site. Once I signed up I found out what I really signed up for. It would need to set up an Adwords account and pay per click for people to read the adds that I set up. I set up adds and have them link to a vendor (of which I had attained an affiliate link to through paydotcom.com). If someone buys the product or service - I get a commission. I set up my own website for this: www.personalgrowthresources.net. I am already a little over $150.00 in the hole due to Pay Per Click- but am still going to try to make it work! I decided to check out another opportunity to make a living online- its called Web Colleagues (check it out if you are interested) It cost 49 dollars and I am just now going through their very detailed training. All looks good so far and I have to say it looks like the most legitimate and lucrative online work from home opportunity thus far (but don't take my word for it- see what you think) I will keep you posted on my journey with this one.

Just another Tuesday...

It's the 10th of April and "D" is slowly waking up from a 3 hr nap! I wonder if other parents are this lucky... to have a 7 month old take such good naps... I am thankful... although I know as with everything with a baby... this too will change.
So far today I have spent about 2-3 hrs on the internet researching websites, reading emails from friends (I feel I haven't seen in ages) and researching recipies for tonights dinner.
I am not a homemaker by any stretch... in my single days I LOVED to come home from work and make popcorn for dinner while I watched the home shopping network... but now with a husband of 2 years and a 7 month old... I was not only forced to start cooking -healthy- i have to add since I am still carrying 20 pounds of the baby weight!!!- but I was also forced to get organized. But I am the youngest child... the fun one... the one who is laid back- not a care in the world??!! not anymore... I am not complaining.. I love my life... its just funny how quickly and quietly things change day to day...
Off to go change another diaper... be back soon...
